About the role

Joining a dynamic and progressive team, you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and oversee the governance and improvement for BHP’s Applicant Tracking System.  Travel will be required for this role.

As the Principal Governance – HR Systems and Process, you will be responsible for:

  • Recommending to Talent Acquisition team members changes to be deployed through scheduled change release cycles;
  • Change management related activities resulting from planned system and/or process changes;
  • Annually reviewing the system to ensure functionality has been fully adopted;
  • Governance of adhoc system and process changes to ensure change is not introducing risk, change is aligned to design principles and business case value is captured and validated;
  • Incident management and monitoring to identify trends of system instability;
  • Providing deep technical support for highly complex requests or issues from the HR function;
  • Audit support for HR systems and processes;
  • Positive assurance across HR systems and processes to ensure they are being used as intended;
  • Working closely with the HR improvement team providing input and endorsement of design for new HR systems projects;
  • Identifying and recommending ad hoc improvements of HR systems and processes.

About you

Ideally, you will be an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge in HR systems and processes and have had good exposure to Talent Acquisition.  As a strategic thinker, you will be able to identify risks, deal with complex situations and provide viable business solutions.  Your communication, negotiating and influencing skills will be key strengths and you will be at ease in building relationships with an array of stakeholders.
